William J. Redmon, age 65. Born February 25, 1948, taken too soon, March 4, 2013. Beloved father of Paul (Melissa), Timothy, Kimberly Erpelding (Ryan) and James (Lindsey) the children Deborah Kness. Dearest grandfather of James, Colin, Parker, Amelia, Brady and Emma. Devoted son of the late Roy and Emily. Wonderful brother to Lucy (Fred Heilizer), Susan, Roy, Jack (Allison) and Robert (Libby). Loving uncle and cousin to many. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 7th at Kristan Funeral Home, 219 W. Maple Ave. (2 blocks west of Rt. 45 on Rt. 176) Mundelein. Funeral service at funeral home on Friday March 8th at 11:00 a.m. William spent 25 years as a Field Service Technician for Westinghouse, traveling the world to such places as New Zealand, Bali, Venezuela, Poland, Holland, China and the Czech Republic. During his trip to the Czech Republic, he reunited with his cousins from his mother's family. William was an avid bird enthusiast, photographing all of the interesting species frequenting his yard. As a lifelong White Sox fan, Will spent many summer days at Comiskey Park with his kids. Mostly Will was a wonderful and devoted member of a large, loud and loving family, a great Dad, cool Grandpa and really great brother who made our lives complete and will be missed forever.
